Tell Rough Draft

When I was seven years old, I remember a time my father came into the house with 2 thousand envelopes that needed stuffed and stamped by a certain time that night. He was frantic and had little time to do it, so instantly I volunteered to help him. Half way through the project, I actually found myself enjoying what I was doing. I realized that with all that the hard work my dad did during that specific month, sending out all of these bills to customers really payed off. I asked my dad all sorts of questions, questions regarding about why he liked his job and why he decided to do it. At that time, my dad owned his own business called Keystone Sanitation which was local in the area. It was this very moment that I decided I had my heart set on going into the business field, just like my dad.
As I was growing up, my dads office was originally in the basement of my house. He was always in and out and on the go. The phone would constantly ring and he was always downstairs giving orders to his employees and satisfying all of his customers. One night I when I was 9, my twin sister and I were in bed with my mom as she was reading "Oh the Places you will go" by Dr. Seuss. Once she was done reading the book, she asked us what we both wanted to be when we got older. Instantly I told her that I wanted to own a business like daddy. I then went on telling my mom that I wanted to feel in charge like him and I wanted to be my very own boss. A few minutes later my dad came in and joined in on the conversation. He told me "If you want to become a business owner, you need to go to college, work hard, and always remember that you can do anything you put your mind to."
Throughout high school I have taken several different AP courses and courses here at Bloomsburg University. I tried all different types of classes, not only to get college credit and learn more things, but to also make sure that I was not as interested in any other "pathway". I took a class at my high school that was strictly about business. After taking all the other classes, I just knew that I was set on Business, which has led me to wanting to major in Business management here at Bloomsburg University. Now as I face my last year in high school, applying to colleges is my main focus. I have noticed recently throughout several of my classes that many students are changing or second guessing their major. Forutuantly for me, I have my heart set on graduating college with a degree in business. Recently I have experienced a very stressful week. I had a set schedule of working 30 hours that week, with projects, papers, and tests due left and right. I honestly stayed up every single night until 1 AM getting the work that needed to be done, and then woke up the very next day at 6 AM to get another stressful day out of the way. There were times that I wanted to give up so bad, but I constantly have the encouraging quote from my dad in the back of my head. Graduating both high school and college are my main goals at this point and I know that getting a good education is what both my parents, and even I want. I find it so important, and I believe that by getting an education, it will lead me to many open doors and it will eventually lead me to opening my very own business.
I hope to one day graduate with my masters degree in Business Management and move somewhere out of state to start a business. I have my mind set on this idea, and I know it is very well possible. Looking back at my dad, I notice every day all of his hard work and accomplishments. As long as I try my very best, stay focused, and work hard I know I will be successful with my dream.
